Your settings stay on your phone
Summary
- The state you choose, your interest categories, your quick-check answers and the claims you save are stored only on your device. We do not send them to our servers.
- We have no accounts. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, postal address, Social Security number or bank details.
- The app does not request location permission or access to your contacts.
- Google Firebase Analytics, Google Ads conversion measurement through Firebase, RevenueCat and Google Play handle analytics, campaign measurement and purchases, as described below.
1. What the app does
The app lists open US class action settlements taken from public settlement administrator websites and court records. You can choose a US state and interest categories, answer optional yes/no eligibility questions, see matching settlements with their deadlines, open the official claim site, save and track settlements, and get local deadline reminders. The app never files a claim for you and has no account system.
2. Information stored only on your device
- The US state you chose
- Your interest categories
- Your answers to the optional quick-check questions
- The settlements you saved or are tracking
- Your notification preference
This information is not sent to our servers. It is deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.
3. Information we do not collect
We do not ask for, and the app does not collect, your name, email address, phone number, postal address, Social Security number, or bank account or payment card details. Payment details are handled only by Google Play. The app does not use location permission or contacts.
4. Settlement list downloads
The app downloads the settlement list from our static feed. The server that hosts the feed (Cloudflare) keeps standard server logs, which include the IP address of each request. We use these logs only to run and secure the feed.
5. Analytics (Google Firebase Analytics)
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used. It collects an app-instance ID, app usage events (such as screens viewed and settlements opened), device and app information, and a coarse country or region derived from your IP address. Advertising ID is used only where consent applies, as described in section 8.
6. Campaign measurement (Google Ads through Firebase)
We use Google Ads conversion measurement through Firebase to see which advertising leads to app installs and purchases. It uses install and purchase events. Advertising ID is used only where consent applies, as described in section 8.
7. Purchases (Google Play Billing and RevenueCat)
Purchases are made through Google Play Billing. The app offers an auto-renewing subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to check whether you have an active purchase. RevenueCat receives purchase and subscription status from Google Play and an anonymous app user ID that RevenueCat generates. We never see your payment card details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and the privacy policy of Google Play.
8. Consent and your choices
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: analytics and advertising storage is switched off by default. You can change this in the app's Settings, and you can change your choice at any time.
- Advertising ID: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- Notifications: you can turn deadline reminders off in the app or in your Android notification settings.
9. Retention
Information stored on your device is kept until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. Analytics, campaign and purchase records held by Google, RevenueCat and Cloudflare are kept under those providers' own retention policies. To request deletion of records linked to your app installation or anonymous app user ID, see our data deletion page.
10. Children
The app is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Your rights
Dahmani Limited is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Our legal bases are:
- Consent for analytics and advertising measurement where consent is required.
- Legitimate interests for app analytics, security and running the settlement feed.
- Contract for handling purchases.
If you are in the UK or EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete and restrict or object to the use of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you are in California, you have the right to know what personal information we hold, to ask us to delete or correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Turning off Advertising measurement in Settings stops advertising identifiers from being used for measurement. To use any of these rights, email support@dahmani.me. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.
12. International transfers
Google, RevenueCat and Cloudflare may process data in the United States and other countries. They do so under their standard safeguards.
13. Security
Connections to the settlement feed and to our service providers use encrypted connections.
14. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app.
